“Today I escaped from the crush of circumstances, or better put, I threw them out, for the crush wasn’t from outside me but in my own assumptions.”
Marcus Aurelius, Meditations.

Whether you view circumstances as so challenging that it means the end of the world, or dismiss them as trivial and not worth getting upset about, the choice is yours. You have that power.

Be wary of the distorted thinking tricks that your emotional mind can play on you. Calmly step back from having to make a decision immediately and consider both sides of every argument. Then make your decision based on a better-informed judgement and logic. Remember that others might be better-informed than you. It is not possible to know everything. Trust, patience and wisdom are essential.
