“When children stick their hand down a narrow sweet jar, they can’t get their full fist out and so they start crying. Drop a few of the sweets and you will get it out! Curb your desire – don’t set your heart on so many things and you will get what you need.”
Epictetus, Discourses.

How much of an ‘abundance’ mindset do you have? While it is generally a positive, optimistic attitude to believe that there is always another chance you can have at achieving something, the resources at our disposal are finite – be that natural resources or simply time. How often are you driven to want more of a good thing right now?

Don’t be fooled by the ‘all-you-can-eat’ approach to the buffet of life. You can’t eat it all at once and after time the extra you have seized or craved will not be as satisfying as you had hoped. Instead, consider having ‘just enough’ or perhaps even learning to live without. Do you really need it all that much?
