Time to think…about the ups and downs of life

“If the breaking day sees someone proud, the ending day sees them brought low. No-one should put too much trust in triumph, no-one should give up hope of trials improving.” Seneca, Thyestes.

Be grateful for what you have and what you can control, and be accepting of the rest. After all, it is what it is and we are where we are.

Pay closer attention to where you are (the ‘what’ in the phrase ‘it is what it is’) by listing three things that could be worse in your situation today. Then think of how you are grateful for what you have or have experienced (been ‘lucky’ to have coincided with today). Write those three things down in a book before you go to bed tonight. Then sleep soundly.
