“No person hands out their money to passers-by, but to how many do each of us hand out our lives! We’re tight-fisted with property and money, yet think too little of wasting time, the one thing about which we should all be the toughest misers.”
Seneca, On The Brevity Of Life.
How time flies. Our lives are busy; people as well as inanimate things (apps, ads and notifications) demand our attention. We can find ourselves moving from one thing to another without stopping to eat, to breathe, to think. No surprise that sometimes it can feel overwhelming. Blink and the most important things in our lives have changed for ever, and yet we had forgotten to look, to be aware of them, to be present.
Be conscious and conscientious in making time to reflect. Simply stop and notice. Remember what’s important to you.
