“If you find something very difficult to achieve yourself, don’t imagine it impossible – for anything possible and proper for another person can be achieved as easily by you.” Marcus Aurelius, Meditations.

“If they can do it, so can I!” Having an affirmative mindset does not mean you lose the ability to apply logic and reason to your challenges. While we might aspire to being world-class athletes, for example, we must accept differences in age and ability that might prevent us achieving the same level of skill. It is the willingness to suspend disbelief in what we can plausibly, feasibly achieve ourselves that allows our creative minds to wonder and dream up possibilities.
