“The chief task in life is simply this: to identify and separate matters so that I can say clearly to myself which are externals not under my control, and which have to do with the choices I actually control.” Epictetus, Discourses.
Don’t get your knickers in a twist or lose sleep over things you cannot control but which happen and bring misfortune. In pursuit of the change you want to make happen, you will at some time encounter setbacks and problems. Allowing your emotions to get the better of you in these circumstances wastes energy and actually impairs the logical-thinking areas of your brilliantly-capable brain.
