Time to think…about being angry

“How much better to heal than seek revenge from injury. Vengeance wastes a lot of time and exposes you to many more injuries than the first that sparked it. Anger always outlasts hurt. Best to take the opposite course. Would anyone think it normal to return a kick to a mule or a bite to a dog?” Seneca, On Anger.

What goes around comes around. Square the circle and walk away from that temporary feeling of anger in the opposite direction to which you feel it pulling you. The emotion will pass – eventually. With a calm mind, you’ll be able to see more clearly. Easier said than done, so be prepared and have your ‘exit stage right’ plan ready for use.
